New Shining Force Feather Screenshots - CG Animation and Side Attacking

There are new screenshots for Sega's upcoming RPG, Shining Force Feather for the Nintendo DS. There are some pictured of the related CG animation, along with more screenshots of the battles.

The game will be a strategy RPG with a top-down isometric view, and will be completely in 2D. Field movement will be turn-based, and will use a free-movement style, with movement not locked into a grid. Battles will take place in side-view, and will feature more action-oriented elements, reminiscent of tri-Ace's Valkyrie Profile.

Shining Force Feather is set to release in Japan in the Spring of 2009. The official site can be found here. Check out the rest of the artwork over at the source. The game will make an appearance at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2008 from October 9th to October 12th at Sega's booth.

That character reminds me of KH1 Cloud from in-game. :S

Wow, its a strategy game this time! The recent Shining games have been action rpgs, some good some bad, but I am glad to see that they're finally making one thats strategy again!
