11 new screenshots have come out for the Wii version of Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars. They show a lot of Mushrooms, funnily enough. The game releases on December 31, 2008.

Gamecock's put out a press release this morning with some new screens of the Wii version of Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars, a game described by the publisher as "fanatical fungi war".

The third person action title is the first game from Red Fly Studio, which was founded earlier this year by industry vets from the Star Wars Galaxies, SSX and Deux Ex development teams, so there's some previous form there.

Throwing players into the middle of a mushroom civil war, gamers will "take control of the crusade, creating devastating weapons from everyday items and teaming up with other sentient plant forms".
