    I never thought a Resident Evil game would be releasing on my birthday and I wouldn't be excited about it. I really don't like what the series has turned into.

      Amen, i looked at these screenshots and an almost look of utter disgust struck my face. While this has alot in common with Resident Evil 4, probably too much in common with it to be honest Resident Evil fans myself included don't want that, most want Resident Evil 1/2/3, this is shit.

    Now just wait for all the rookies to tell you that there was no reason to fix what wasn't broken, i.e Resident Evil 4. I love when people say that dumb shit, completing ignoring how different RE4 was from the games before it.

    I hate how the series has become. Too many spin-offs and titles all over the place. Lame movies with the same title, and now this.


    REmake, Zero, RE1,RE2,RE3, RE:CVX, UC, Outbreak's > Re4, Re5.


    The old Resident Evil games had it. As a gamer who bought RE1 pretty much the week it was released; the new direction of the series has been dissappointing.

    I, for one, thought that the Outbreak series had a lot of potential. It was average upon release, but their flawed execution covered up what could have been a very successful take on the Resident Evil series.


    THe saddest thing of all is, that despite my hatred for the new direction the series has taken, im going to buy it and no doubt, love, adore and idolise the game much Like i do with my 3 RE4 copies I have today. Its gameplay is fantastic; I just wish the zombies would make their return; still running; but removing the plagas idea and the lack of actual horror.

    Funny, this reminds me of Rockstar and how they completely went into a different direction with GTA fans, and now most dislike how it turned out. And now same here, although im probably going to love this game though.

    Some of you are not even giving this game a chance purely judging it by mere screenshots and early trailers. I'd save all the bitching until I've completed the game tbh. Besides, is it being similar to RE4 supposed to be a bad thing? Absolutely not. And if I may add, I think it was a smart decision of Capcom to to make it more similar to RE4 seeing how successful RE4 was.

      I didn't say the game would be a bad game, I said I don't like how RE4 and RE5 are not survival horror games like how the series used to be. Why is it whenever people express their opinions, it's bitching? Are we supposed to give away our money just because something is offered to us? That's called being a sheep. I'm soooo tired of people saying that RE4 was successful, so RE5 should be the same. RE1, 2, and 3 were also successful. So what?
