Dark Arcanine | October 04, 2008 | Screenshots | Playstation 3 Wii Company
Monster Hunter, an extremely popular series of games. Famitsu has come into the possession of previews for the new game, Monster Hunter 3! These include both the monsters and the hunters, along with some cool looking battle pictures.

The news comes as a great relief since the large silence experienced since Fall of 2007. It was originally planned for the Playstation3 but plans changed and it was moved to the Nintendo Wii.

The article also provides a small description for each monster and a caption for the fighting scenes. It also discusses briefly the gameplay and style of battle.

The captions for the monsters discuss such aspects as physical appearance, physical capabilities, hunting style, habitats, the life span and social behaviour/structure within the species.

The monsters in the screen shots look totally new and different to the ones in current Monster Hunter games, meaning new content will keep fans going for a long time! It'll be fantastic for Capcom's sale rates if they release it in time for Christmas, although that is unlikely, and my only complaint is that it's moved to the Wii. Imo PS3 would have handled it much better.

They could've gone totally mad with just about everything had they put it on PS3. So, agreed.

Considering Monster Hunter is mainly an Online Co-op multiplayer game, how's that exactly gonna work on the Wii? They gonna support split-screen? MH: Freedom comes to mind, awesome game but I barely play it because of lack of online, I do miss the PS2 game.

Don't worry, it works much like the PS2 games did. You go to the specific online town to meet people and form a party of up to four players. Don't know if there will be any friend codes involved, but it looks like you'll be able to team up with random people.

I suppose the PS3 and Wii will have similar multiplatform functions.. meaning the PS3 wont be utilised and down to the Wii level.

Im a lover for multiplatform releases; but I hate it when the PS3 or 360 version of the game within a Multiplatform release is limited or restricted to allow for "fairgame" between a lesser powered console.

I can understand It coming to the Wii though. Capcom have an awesome relationship at the moment, and Have had for the past few years. Big audience. I think the game will be awesome still.

Now that we know the game will use the classic controller and not the cursed wii-mote, I'm all happy again. This now has a chance to be as good as the other MH games. Rejoice
