Marvelous Entertainment has released some new screenshots for their upcoming ARPG, Muramasa: The Demon Blade for the Nintendo Wii.
The game takes place in the mystical Genroku era, ruled by the skilled shogun Tsunayoshi Tokogawa. His lust for power leads to a conflict over the powerful but cursed Demon Blades. They condemn those who use them to tragedy, madness, and untimely deaths. Players will take control of a ninja or a kunoichi in side-scrolling levels to stop Tokogawa.
Muramasa: The Demon Blade is being developed by Odin Sphere developer Vanillaware. It is set to release in Japan and North America in 2009, with the North American version co-published by Marvelous and XSEED Games. The official site can be found here. The game is at the Tokyo Game Show 2008 at Marvelous' booth in Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Check out the rest of the screenshots over at the source.
