5 New Dragon Quest IX Screenshots

The latest addition to the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest IX was still not playable in this years TGS, however Square Enix did manage to reveal tidbits of screenshots for the game, with promises of a trailer and a presentation to be released over the next two days. Be sure to take a look at the screenshots below.
Square Enix has unveiled some new screenshots of Dragon Quest IX : Protectors of the Starry Sky for the Nintendo DS for Tokyo Game Show 2008. The game, which is still not playable at TGS, has also a new trailer and a presentation this weekend. The RPG is set to release on March 2009 in Japan.

    Why in the world would they make a main series game on a Handheld console? I mean they're free to do as they wish, but why not also put it on say PS3 and XBOX360 as well?

      Cheaper, possibly more profit, and maybe the feel its not necessary to the game itself for it to have better graphics than what we see here.

    Looks pretty good but still i am gonna hate the wait for this game =[ but it will be a wait worth waiting for.

    The series' creator wanted to do it on the DS, and it hits the largest market.
