Some of those are actually in-game screenshots, some are painted concept but lots are graphical renders in a style that seems reminiscent of the plastic style Perfect Dark: Zero endured on gamers.

Woohoo another watered-down "shooter/rpg hybrid" graces us. This will be like Bioshock was to the System Shock series.

Yeah the fact it's almost going back to it's roots this time, so if Deus Ex was watered down then this will be, but Deus Ex wasn't watered down whatsoever, Deus Ex 2 was which is why they are going old school on this effort... Have you even played this franchise?

Well said BlackLabel... In fact, I bring up those points when I did my review for Deus Ex 2. The first Deus Ex was my first writing assignment ever back in 2000, and getting a chance to review 2, 4 years later made my day... until I realized that they watered down a lot of things to make it more "digestible" to the console crowd. I am looking forward to this as long as it isn't dumbed down.

My problem, rumor mill control, in the original teaser trailer it seemed to imply Deus Ex 3 will be a prequel. I hope that isn't the case because Deus Ex 1 established that the Denton bros were the new wave of nano-enhanced soldiers. Prior to them, they used cyborgs like good ol Gunther... Keeping that in mind, setting the game as a prequel would imply (if they follow the timeline established in the first two games) no nano-technology.

Do we really want to take a step back? Especially the way they show nanotech evolving in 2?

Some of my gripes, again personal.. first game I ever reviewed professionally... *sigh*
