At TGS, a trailer was shown for Tecmo's new upcoming Playstation 3 exclusive title "Quantum Theory". The game is said to have a Gears of War-esque feel, though this doesn't seem to really be the case outside of the main character's general appearance. The game appears to be set in a fantasy world with magic and such, where our main character wields a sort of energy gun.

The screenshots are quite rough, and it clearly needs work, but Tecmo has released some fairly visually-polished games, so it's likely safe to say they are still working on it.

Tecmo has released some new screenshots of its upcoming Gears of War like action game for the PlayStation 3 called Quantum Theory.

Certainly needs the polish indeed. But yeh, it seems nice and could be PS3 owners answer to Gears of War. Very cool.

I think it's the aliasing; without all those jagged edges, I think it'd look fine.

If they can aim for the quality of their trailer, it wouldn't look half-bad. But as it is...I mean, damn, it needs some work!

My first article was IGN's review of Valkyria Chronicles, my second was of Red Alert 3 being reannounced for PS3, this one's my third.

          Thanks

I don't know why they are releasing screens so soon i mean it's obviously not going to look very good, though judging by the textures they are still using the same old engine that is like 10 years old now.

Are you all spoiled on graphics or what? Even early in development this game looks great.

Coming from the creators of NG Sigma and NG2, I'm just saying they could do better, Sigma had next to no aliasing, so they obviously have the know-how to clean it up.

This game looks eerily like GoW.

Which looks eerily loke Unreal Tournament. Which really isn't saying much because they all use the same engine and similar modeling. No shocker there.

      Not eerily, exaxctly >_>

Anyway, whos willing to bet that it'll go the ninja gaiden way and release on the 360 a few months later with extra content? >_>

NG Sigma was and still is PS3 only. NG2 was 360 only. Completely separate.

So what you're on about is beyond me.

Ninja Gaiden 2 was not only a 360 exclusive but also the prequel to Ninja Gaiden and Sigma. I think you're thinking of something else.
