Some cool looking screenshots have just been released for KillZone 2 on Blend Games. The shots show off some dynamic shooting as well as some nice up-close captures of the characters.

Guerrilla Games is focusing more on fine-tuning the shooting, fixing up the weapon balance and evening out the multiplayer. But most of you who came here for the screenshots probably already knew that.

Not too sure... Arnet they like, infected humans? Or like, dead humans that have been re-made into like, half-robot thingies? Forgot now, I got rid of Killzone 1 when I ditched my PS2 last year... Wish i'd kept it now

They are humans and the mask is necessary for them to live OUTSIDE of there homeworld because their homeworld was not a very nice place to live. They have the masks on now (killzone 2 is set in their homeworld) just because we all love and know the helghast with their masks on. Wouldnt be very scary to see a bunch of pale bald guys running after you. This was confirmed with a Guerilla dev.

It's the military uniform...making them use their masks because fans like it makes a nice little scar on the story consistency. That being said, while their beam red eyes makes them intimidating...it's also a pain in the ass because you can see their red eyes miles away, kinda makes sniping hard.

I can still see the pixels! OMGz!

J/k, they look great. Though I sill think Gears 2 has way better character models.

You seem to be hating a little on the awesome graphics KZ2 has lately. And it saddens me.

He only said that the character models and textures are better on Gears 2, which is true.

No, i'm not just taking about this, I'm talking about other similar articles of KZ2 trashing the new look of the game then the pre-build.

Which is weird, since KZ2 is 'only possible on PS3', yet Gears 2 has better character models. Which implies KZ2 could be done on 360 in some aspects.

What, must everyone cream over KZ2's graphics? I can't point out details?

There's something wrong in your "factual" conclusion. What's that bolded part in your statement called?

FFS, I explained that in the other thread. The sharpness of pixels and details of in-game models has NOTHING TO DO WITH OPINIONS...geez...

Its called an opinion. He said it so its obviously his opinion.

Really? Didn't know you had super vision, much less able to compare two different game engines.

Hey, if he was involved in developing the game or...you know...had any legit experience with programming and in graphic arts...MAYBE it'd be more valid than an opinion.

I don't need to be a bloody game developer to be able to see which game has sharper pixels and the like. You're going overboard here, you know. You make it sound like you need to be a died-in-the-wool game developer to be able to see graphical details...

As I said before, in the pictures above, you can clearly see the blurred details on the characters without even needing to get close, whereas Gears 2 has very crisp details.

Of course you don't, while we're at it, how do you tell the "pixels" are "sharper"? Also

          quote
Which is weird, since KZ2 is 'only possible on PS3'
          And

          quote
Which implies KZ2 could be done on 360 in some aspects.
Reason I ask is because you said this...which seems like a really bad joke. Just saying, it's never really clever to go off like that.

eh, those graphics are ok. nothing really amazing though. im pretty sure MGS4 has that level or better of graphics. plus the texures look like they could use some work IMO.

but what matters is will the gameplay be as good as Sony fanboys are hoping?
