Capcom today have released some new screenshots for their recently-released fighting game Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Cross Generation of Heroes for the Wii. This final boss is none other than Yami from Clover Studio's cult hit Okami for the PS2 and Wii.

Yami consistutes as a large character, has three forms, and has an infinite super bar. In between each form both of your characters will regain a moderate amount of health, and will be revived if they were KO'd beforehand. Yami's first form has three attacks and two supers:

  • Attacks
    • Attacks with a hammer/pounds the ground
    • Attacks with a buzzsaw (low)
    • Shoots missiles
  • Supers
    • Slides across the ground with the buzzsaw
    • Surrounds itself in an aura which will empty your super bar if hit

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom released in Japan on December 11th, and is available at your local online import retailers such as Play-Asia and NCSX, so you should buy this game. Check for my Import Impressions either later this week or early next week on Neoseeker News for more info on this game. Check out the rest of the screenshots over at the source.

    Heh, interesting choice.

Stop taunting us with a game we'll never get, Akira!

        The Wii is region-free?

Yep. Nintendo fagged out and made the Wii Region-Blocked. But good ol' homebrew can fix that up nicely.

No, not like the PS3. Unless you homebrew and I wouldn't.

I watched a video of the final boss fight on GameTrailers! It's rather strange seeing Yami in a cramped 2D environment, since Okami had a 3D world, and the battles are in arena-type stages.

FYI, Yami was kicking Ryu and ChunLi's asses in the video.

That guy seems crazy. I hate fighting games, but when I play them, they are loads of fun. This guy seems insane.
