Velvet Assassin Outfits And Nighties Revealed

A collection of new screenshots for Velvet Assassin, which show the different kinds of outfits that the main character can wear. Most are standard military/civilian clothes, while one of the outfits appears to be somewhat risque.

Like IO Interactive's Hitman, Violette can snag new outfits to better blend with her environment. Some of the outfits include a pilot's uniform, a leather sneaking suit that works well with dark areas and shadows, a Nazi uniform to infiltrate enemy ranks unnoticed, and a night dress. The explanation for why Violette wears the night dress is a bit confusing but it's more or less an excuse for fan-service. Really.

    For some reason, it bothers me that they'd turn her into such a sex symbol instead of going for realism. This game is based on a real woman, who was captured by Nazis early in her career, and suffered what must have been a horrible demise via rape, torture, and execution. She was very young, as you can imagine.

    I can't help but feel that if it had been based on a real male soldier/spy, they wouldn't be working so hard on the game's sex appeal.

      I doubt that, Sex sells. I'm sure some poor souls would buy that type of game.

    It's stupid that the night gown outfit is even there...

    I completely lost respect for this game for that very reason.

    Tbh if this is meant to be a game about an assassin....Since when the HELL has an assassin ran around killing people in a goddamn white nightie?

        It's not that the spy can't be hot it's that Sam Fisher or Snake Solid were never exploited the way Violette is in Velvet Assassin.

        Plus, it detracts from the supposed realism this game carries.

          Raiden was nude for part of Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty.

          Plus MGS is realistic without taking itself too seriously.

      You obviously haven't seen other games that use the sex sells bit.

      @Vortis, this is a game, games aren't all realism. And what you're saying is believable not realism. Which this can be believable for a game. Sex sells, just face it. Whining about it is stupid. SC4, DoA, Dissidia now uses it for character outfit.
