A comparison of visuals between KillZone 2 and Crysis. Blend Games breaks down how the two-year old Crysis measures up to the very hyped-up KillZone 2.

If there ever was a graphical battle to be fought between two titanous games, I don't think it would get any bigger than this. Gird tight your loins fanboys, because this is going to be one hellacious comparison.

It is stupid even comparing the two they take two very different artstyles... Crysis is about as bright as shooters get and Killzone 2 is about as dark as they get without it being a horror shooter.

What was the point of this article? Like BlackLabel said, its pointless because they have different graphical styles. And also, the whole article was a terrible read anyway, it seemed rushed.

Wow 69% killzone 2. crysis foliage is amazing though. I think a better comparison would be uncharted. Only to compare the environment may I add.

Like it was said above, those games are not meant to be compared anyway. The only thing comparable is the motion blur and i think's it's way better in Killzone 2.

I don't think many of those 69% have played on high, even less on very high. Crysis on very high beats KZ.

I'm sure Crysis on the highest settings could beat anything else out there. They really shouldn't be voting on which is better seeing as they haven't actually played KZ2 yet.

BlackLabel is right, it's not really logical to compare the two because they have a different style of graphics. But they're both great.

I knew this was coming one time or another.

IMO, its not fair to compare the two before release. For example, Fallout 3 was expected to have little more than brown ravaged landscape in all directions, but its actually got a fair variety if locales.

not to mention the update or expansion thing coming with a northern blizzard-esque area.

They dodged around the character models. If you compare that, I think Killzone would win, plus the faces are better done in K2. That's just my opinion of course, but I agree with the different art styles. More appropriate would be comparing Crysis with Halo, as both have brighter styles. Killzone... well, I can't think of any graphically acclaimed game with that kind of gritty style.
