High resolution screenshots have recently been released for Batman: Arkham Asylum. Some of the screenshots include close-ups of the Joker, Croc and Batman beating up some thugs.

Eidos has been doing their part in sharing new assets of the caped crusader with the press, and we’re doing our part in sharing those assets with our readers.

The new screenshots detail some more Batman-beat-e’m-up action, as well as some Joker-getting-chocked-by-Batman and some Croc-about-to-get-pummeled-by-Batman scenarios.

    Graphically, it looks almost as good as KZ2. Almost.

      It looks alot better than Killzone 2 to me, least it uses more than multiple tones of grey ; ;

    I'm not sure I like the artistic style used in this game, but I hope to get it. I hope the gameplay and story is much better than in the past Namely, well, the movie-based game since that's the only batman game I played haha

    From the gameplay videos I've seen, I can't help but think that this game is going to be a repetitive beat-em-up and nothing more. Pretty much like any other Batman game before it. Hopefully I'm wrong.

      Which gameplay vids? The only ones released have been very brief, and ofcourse they are going to highlight the hand-to-hand fighting as that is the most visually appealing aspect.

      But we've already been promised plenty of stealth-like attacks. Batman will attack from the rafters above using his grappling hook, and batarangs make long distance strikes possible.

      It'll have more depth to its fighting than simply running up and punching/kicking someone.

    Those graphics are pretty sick, too bad you won't see them to their full potential unless you have a HD set up. Lucky for me i have a HD set up =D

    It's a beautiful game. It seems as if Rocksteady really is focusing a lot of their time and attention on this title, and with good reason. They know how large the Batman fanbase has become, especially after the last few movies, so a quality title will do well in sales especially.

    I'm glad that Rocksteady have the time and money for the production of this title, it's already gaining great praise for the effort, heh.

    I wonder if they'll put in that fear factor from Batman Begins. I thought that was creative.
