A new batch of screens have arrived for the PC edition of BioWare's sure to be classic RPG Dragon Age: Origins, and they sure do look purdy (and gory). Five are included here; to see the rest, visit the game's profile via the platform link below.

An announcement back in February told us the game's release has been pushed back, so we'll see it sometime in Q3/Q4.

I had a chance to get some gameplay time during the NY Comic Con in Feb... ok, actually I neglected all my appointments and camped out at the Bioware booth, all the while driving the developers crazy with my nostalgia for Baldurs Gate II, and my obsession with this game. it is the real deal. True spiritual successor to BG - and it is massive. All the customization and stats (and tracking for possibly online statistics) is there. The way the narrative changes depending on your "origin" and the unique opening areas for each origin is impressive. I can't wait for this... #1 on my list for this year, especially since I've played the isht out of NWN2 and all the expansion and growing tired of waiting for the Westgate adventure pack.

As an FYI - I was blown away by the AI. Normally in these games you put your tanks up front with rangers and magic users in the rear buffing and casting offensive spells... More than once, I watched the AI in the area I got to play use tactics that allowed them to break thru the tankers and open up a line of attack against the ranged and weaker attackers. They use buffs and defensive spells effectively, and seemed clever enough to back up and regroup. Good stuff - was only around 3-4 hours I spent with that demo, and AI will def need more scrutiny than 3-4 hours, but first impressions = I was impressed.

        It's apparent you miss writing.
        Thanks for the take!
