First MAG screenshots

MAG or Massive Action Game is the next big PS3 exclusive, apparently meant to have over 200 players partaking in each multiplyaer bout. Since its teaser trailer at last year's E3 it has been rather quiet, but we now finally have some screenshots of the game via Flickr, featuring character models, logo's and of course the levels.

    That game is going to own. That has been THE game I've been waiting for on the PS3. Zipper Interactive kicks ass.

    Graphics dont look revolutionary but with these sort of games its all in the gameplay and the set up of the online community, if all done propally, it should be a gem.

    I wanna see some gameplay footage. Looks pretty decent so far though. When's it due out? Please don't say November >.> I don't want another November where I want every game. Actually, it looks like Far Cry a little bit. I can imagine it having a similar style gameplay. Perhaps a Far Cry/CoD hybrid?

    Mmm, I was hoping for it to be third person, but hopefully a cover system will be employed.

      There might be an option for both views. I have no idea if it does or not, but it's good to keep an open mind. Though TPS and FPS both work fine for me.

      Game looks sweet, can't wait to see it in action (and I mean REAL action, as in all 200-something players going at ONCE). Hopefully it gives a proper tutorial for an online-only game; getting into Warhawk without any tutorials was a bitch. And frankly, I think the graphics look great; it's just the lighting dynamics that need work.

      I was hoping for a third person game too. I kind of had an image of a huge SOCOM like game. Hopefully you are right Red, it'd be a nice option to have in game.

    Wow, I might have to get a PS3 just for this game lol. If they don't *bleep* it up, the game might be quite revolutionary for consoles.

    i get claustrophobic at 26, but this could be neat.

    For 248 players in a map those graphics are revolutionary most game have to tone down their graphics because of a mere 60 and this game looks very very good graphically and will have 248 players all doing their own thing, blowing up stuff and firing ammunition everywhere. I was expecting graphics like SOCOM but worse.

    I hope the maps don't get too big, and we end up wandering about trying to find a big group of people.

    I bet the game levels are like, first to 1000 kills.

      Probably more than that. That would mean that each player on a team would only have to get like 8 kills, which wouldn't take long when you have 124 targets on the other team.

    If there is one game to get the PS3 for, it will likely be this one (after the price comes down, of course). 200 players? Wow. I just hope it's not laggy or anything.

    Wow beautiful far beyond my expectations. MAG was not one of the games I was excited for but it looks bloody damn good! Hopefully the 248 player thing is truly realised upon release.

      Please, nothing like Warhawk. I want a serious online combat game. Warhawk was just too cartoony and hectic for me.

        Yea, the auto aim and lack of gun depth really made warhawk unappealing to me.

    It's better for being First person, i'd have been majorly put off had it been third. However, if it has vehicles in, i'd love 3rd Person vehicle sections.

      Mine too but I don't want to get over excited about it because 256 players online is going to be something and that means lag...

      Unless they are going to be prepared.

      I just hope they sort everything out before it's release like Killzone did with their Multiplayer, there was no lag at all.

        Well SOCOM 3 servers hold 256 each(with individual games hosted and preset rooms in the server), and if they're bragging about it now, then they've got to have a creative, and good, solution.

        ...or maybe it's going to be for the PC...
