Announced a few months back, Namco Bandai's given some new information about the latest Gundam game, along with some screens to show it off. Mobile Suit Gundam Battlefield Record U.C. 0081 will be hitting PS3s exclusively on September 3 in Japan. The game will also be featuring a major online component.

To promote the game, there's a huge virtual Gundam statue in the Japanese Home Square. The statue will be on display from July 11-23.

Mirroring real life, a giant Gundam statue stands tall in Japan’s PlayStation Home. You can visit the (virtual) statue in Home Square from July 11 to July 23.

The life size Gundam is a promotion for Mobile Suit Gundam Battlefield Record U.C. 0081, an online enabled PlayStation 3 exclusive Gundam game scheduled for September 3.
