Some brand new images for the upcoming RPG/shooter Rage. Rage is being developed by the same team that developed the popular franchise Doom. Check out these sweet new screenshots and keep your eyes open as we can expect a lot more from this game at Gamerscon.

Here are some new shots for id's racing-shooter hybrid, Rage, which hit headlines last week over John Carmack's comments that the game would run better on 360 and PC compared to PS3.

I don't care what anyone says Fallout clone or not this game makes Fallout 3 look very very dated and old. Not even Fallout 4 will look as pretty as this game and i can pretty much guarantee that. Someone keep a note of that statement and call me up on it 2-3 years from now if and i mean IF Fallout 4 is head and shoulders above this game visually.

Agree this game looks beautifull. But I do hope they spice up the environment. I understand its an post apocalypse world but I mean trees still grow after an apocalypse, right? Bethesda does make greate games, but the graphics aren't the best.

I wouldn't mind tree's but i am more than impressed with the level of colour in the terrain. There are reds, oranges, blues, greys and possibly even more colours, i think my biggest thing in modern games is colour and this game has more colour and depth in these small screenshots than some full games released recently. Really not a very bad feat for a post apocalyptic world. I do think there are going to be areas of greenland with tree's and plantlife but most is going to be dust and sand considering the catastrophy that that occured.

    Do want. Do want badly.

Seriously, this is the most beautiful game I've ever seen, visually. The colors are so vibrant, the clouds are so realistic, and the shadows just complement everything! Let's just hope the gameplay follows suit.

The clouds are really good. Are those volumetric 3D clouds like the ones in Crysis?

I believe they aren't as Volumetric has shown that while it is nice it takes up too much processing power for an often very unrealistic look. I believe those clouds are simply a show of how good iD Tech 5's 2D texture detail is. I am sure the clouds will be layered so they look like they are moving but they are highly intricate 2D textures like everything in this game.
