New screenshots are available for Square Enix's upcoming DS RPG remake, Dragon Quest VI: Maboroshi no Daichi (Realms of Reverie in the west). DQVI uses the class system for character development, like DQIII before it and DQVII and DQIX after it.

The third title in the Zenithia trilogy, there are two main worlds the Hero and his party will travel through: the Real World, and the Dream World. You are questing to defeat the demon lord Mudo after suffering at the brink of defeat against him. However, you wake up in a village, with someone you don't know insisting that you are her brother.

本 作 は、1995年 に ス ー パ ー フ ァ ミ コ ン 用 ソ フ ト と し て 発 売 さ れ た 同 名 タ イ ト ル を DS 用 に リ メ イ ク し た も の。 “天空シリーズ” の 3 作 品 目 に あ た り、 主 人 公 の 住 む 世 界 と 大 地 に 空 い た 穴 か ら 見 え る “もうひとつの世界” を 行 き 来 す る こ と に な る。 今 回 は、 シ リ ー ズ で も 異 色 の 物 語 が 展 開 す る 本 作 の、 ス ト ー リ ー の 一 端 を 紹 介 し て い く。

本 作 で は、 “ムドー” と 呼 ば れ る 魔 王 が 世 界 征 服 を た く ら ん で い る。 “眠らぬ王” の 異 名 を 持 つ レ イ ド ッ ク 王 が、 ム ド ー の 野 望 を 打 ち 砕 く べ く 魔 王 討 伐 に 参 加 す る 兵 士 探 し に 奔 走 し て い る が、 ム ド ー に は 恐 ろ し い ヒ ミ ツ が 隠 さ れ て い る ら し い。 プ レ イ ヤ ー は 主 人 公 と な り、 自 身 に 課 せ ら れ た 使 命 を 見 つ け る た め、 冒 険 に 乗 り 出 す。 旅 の 先 で は、 さ ま ざ ま な 濃 密 な ド ラ マ が 展 開 し て い く。
