Square Enix have recently announced the Japanese release date for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. The game is set for a January 9, 2010 release. To commemorate the announcement, they've release a new batch of screens.

The wait for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep isn’t too long. Square Enix set January 9, 2010 as the date for the Kingdom Hearts prequel and released a new batch of screenshots.

Birth By Sleep has new worlds (Stitch, Cinderella) and characters like the mustached fellow below. His name is Master Eraqus and Japanese blogs and forums are buzzing that he is a tribute to Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of Final Fantasy. Seems like a harsh tribute considering Master Eraqus, another keyblade user, lives in the Land of Departure.
