Ubisoft has published some brand new screenshots for the up coming Prince Of Persia game. These screens are all in game and the game sure does look nice. The Forgotten Sands is not a sequel to the Prince of Persia game that was released last year, but a continuation of the Sands of Time story line.

They do look nice, but I'm still very disappointed that it isn;t from the sequal to last years game...I'll see how this one turns out as far as reviews goes before picking this up. I've put the SoT behind me. Going back to it won't be with open arms I can tell you that.

The first screenshot reminds me of the wall-rebound attack from SoT, anyone remember that? It was a real game-breaker, since it could take down ANY enemy in one hit- except the final boss.

      That's completely untrue.

No, actually, unless I'm forgetting some mini bosses. That move grounded all the minions you encountered in the game, ready to be absorbed by the dagger.

Semantics I guess. Yes you're correct. I don't agree it was a game breaker, though. A lot of them blocked it or attacked you before you could complete it.

A lot of the later enemies either blocked it or used it as an opportunity to attack you (they wouldn't attack until near the end though). So it really wasn't much of a game-breaker, but it did make taking out lots of enemies early on a lot easier.

I don't really recall enemies blocking that attack, but then I haven't played the game in a long while.

I'm pretty sure only the bigger goldish armoured guys could block the attack.

I'm just clinging on to the hope they don't screw this up. It seems like little more than a cash-in on the upcoming movie in all honesty. I'm glad to see a return to the Sands of Time games and some filling of the gap between SoT and WW, but even so I'm very skeptical.

thats cause it is a total cash in.

I know, but I can give live in false hope XD

At the very least this may mean more improvements to the engine, that I can't remember the name of. Same engine AC2 used.

          Anvil engine.
Ran PoP (2008) and AC1 as well.

I like the fact they left the new PoP. Other than gameplay and artstyle it sucked, imo.

Can't say I like them going all necrophiliac on the SoT though :\
