Santa Monica has been working hard on God of War III for several years now. The initial screens looked great, but the newest screens truly blow them away. Take a look at the initial screens of the game, E3 2009 screens, and, finally, the final build of God of War III.

We have compiled several screens showing the difference between the character models, colors, and lighting of the game from the original screens, E3 2009 screens, and now the final build. The character model of Kratos looks amazing in all the screens, but he looks must grittier in the latest build. The lighting looks to have improved slightly, but it was amazing to begin with. The final build is much darker, features better lighting, a much larger scale, and it's amazing how far the game has come since the original announcement, to E3 2009, and then from E3 to now.

You have to make your own comparisons.
