Square Enix has finally released real Xbox 360 screens of Final Fantasy XIII. You can now come to your own conclusion about the game and whether you want to buy it for the Xbox 360 or PS3.

After the latest batch of Final Fantasy XIII screens, you can come to a clear choice of which version is going to be the best option for you -- if graphics make the difference. While the graphics of both versions are solid, the PS3 appears to be the cleaner of the two. Yes, the title was developed with the PS3 in mind and the Xbox 360 version uses a different graphics engine, so they wouldn't be identical either way. These are the newest released screens by Square Enix for each version.

I thought this comparing fad was over? the screen shots are completely different parts of the game and they look the same anyway like always.

While the internet remains infested with the obsessive, these things will unfortunately never cease to be.

Though frankly these things shouldn't be accepted on GG anymore.

I don't know if I'd be able to make a presentable or substantial argument in support of myself, tbh

          Find someone who can then.

Things like this SHOULD be banned. Unless it differs greatly like how some games back then would look great on the 360 but crappy on the PS3, it shouldn't be accepted.

I'll just wait for Lens of Truth to look in to it. They always have unbiased and good comparisons.

Graphics means nothing. Gameplay is everything.

Whilst I do agree that gameplay is a much more important factor than graphics, I wouldn't say it means nothing. This day and age, they need to at least make the game look presentable to even be considered playable by gamers. If there's just a huge mess of designs on-screen, who's going to want to play it? The first think that draws us towards a product is usually it's look. We see a new book at the store we are drawn to, likely because of it's cover and title. Point is, the art has to be there, and does too play a role whether we like it or not. And this is coming from a guy that grew up in the 8 and 16-bit era, who loves Tetris more than any game. xD

In terms of graphics for this game I'm quite impressed. Could care less for which console has more contrast, etc., I'm getting it for the PS3 regardless, but Squeenix usually does well in the art department.

Yes, the games need to looks presentable, but I have never brough a game because of the graphic quality. We all know that PS3 has better graphics than the 360 but does it really matter? I don't think so. Mad Wold's graphics look appalling but it's a bloody good game, the boxart was of the factors that made me buy it, rather than the ingame graphics.

I'm sorry, did you just say that the boxart was a factor in you buying a game? Jesus man, share that wealth!

Haha, it was the only contributing factor. It looks visually appealing. Some are just aweful though, I can't name them off the top of my head though.

Is it me or are the images just far too small to actually see anything on?
