A while ago Playstation blog had a interview with Insomniac developers. They promised a sneak peak about the game. They released this one image but it says a lot. Its the city of metropolis. And some new news about the weapons. The weapon that transforms enemies this time turns them into penguins.

A few weeks ago, I blogged about the Resistance global server/map pack release date, along with a promise of a sneak peek at Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Since then, an interview with RCF creative director Brian Allgier has surfaced here, teasing some details (such as enemies with evil fish steering a robotic body), and if you listen to the Insomniac Games Full Moon Show, they were promising a screen shot of said sneak peek - this screen shot I share with you now, check it out.

This shot is taken from our E3 level, Metropolis, and it’s the first thing a player will see after the opening movie plays. It’s probably safe to say that the Captain Quark statue may not make it out in one piece. As for why Metropolis is under attack, well… it has something to do with heavily armed robotic commandos, large space ships and, maybe, something to do with Ratchet’s unknown past that is coming back to haunt him. Or maybe Quark pressed the wrong button in the planetary defense center again and is about to see his chiseled likeness go up in smoke because of it. It’s too early to say much more…

There will also be penguins, courtesy of the Transmorpher. The Transmorpher is one of our new devices (along with the Grooveitron and several others that we haven’t announced yet) that will turn most enemies into penguins. Because, really, they are all the rage these days, and we didn’t want to be left out of the penguin craze; sheep are too last gen for us.

With time permitting at E3 this week, I’ll try to chime back in here with more RCF details from the show.

I've never played any of the Rachet & Clank games, but I've always loved the commercials. =D

I know it's nothing one should go by when buying games, but the graphics are enough to get me interested. I'll definitely be on the lookout for when this game comes out.

Should go back and look for the first R&C games. All are pretty good. At least then you could know if you like the series or not.

      But the screenshot looks nice.

Rachet and Clank is one great action/adventure series. Could go head-to-head with Jak and Daxter, that's for sure. Loving the graphics thus far for this one.

Ever notice that they release a Ratchet and Clank game close to a Jak game? I mean, look at them, 4 Jak games and 4 Ratchet games, now with this one I hope they will say something about a new Jak game, and if its another racing game I am going to flip!

      Anyway, this game looks awesome.

Yeah, Ratchet and Jak have always been healthy competition for each other.

Technically this would be R&C's 6th game. They have the 4 for the PS2, the one for the PSP and now this one. Not sure about Jax as I never kept up with it.

Hahah, that would be so freaking awesome! Lets hope there is a upgrade for that. But the game is looking pretty damn beautiful.
