Some brand new screenshots for Bioshock infinite have emerged. These screenshots will be in the new GI issue later this month, as for now check out the brand new environment and the brand new big daddy?

Now that our October cover has been unveiled, it's time to get a better look at BioShock Infinite with these three exclusive screenshots. The images showcase the outdoor environments of Columbia, from the war-torn streets to a park with an idyllic gazebo.

Columbia's visual style is a departure from the underwater corridors of Rapture, and this is an intentional shift in direction. If the original BioShock's artistic vibe could be summed up as "New Year's Eve, 1959," the phrase that the team at Irrational uses to describe Infinite is "Fourth of July, 1912."

Does anyone else think the big robot guys look pretty stupid? I mean in the trailer they looked awesome, not to mention creepy, but if they look like that in gameplay then its really kind of pathetic.

Agreed, they look like a Fable villain.

It looks a bit...bright for me. I enjoyed BioShock's atmosphere, and this seems to lack that. Unless it can seemingly pull off an Animal Crossing 'creepy whilst being cute' vibe.

Looks like a circus strongman, which may have been what they were aiming for.

To be honest I'd be far more scared if I saw that than a Big Daddy.

I'm loving the look of the game so far, hopefully they'll keep reinventing like this with future games.

If I saw that, he would kill me very easily because I would be laughing so hard and so wouldn't move.

That things not scary, it's freaking hilarious.
