Nintendo had a retailer's conference yesterday in which several new Super Mario Galaxy details were revealed. According to Nintendo, Super Mario Galaxy runs in 60 fps and will make full use of Anti-aliasing. It will also run in 480p and 16:9 wide-screen.

As for the game itself, Nintendo will not say whether Luigi, Yoshi, or Princess Peach will be playable characters. (or if they're in the game at all) A Nintendo rep has also made clear that there will be many difficult levels present in the game which requires precision control and quick reflexes. So for those of you expecting an easy game will be highly dissappointed.

They need another playable character. This game could really benefit with some good co-op.

Ah, I'm glad to know about the difficulty.

I disagree with Seproth, though. The game is a traditional 3D Mario platformer. Being able to play someone other than Mario would not be to my liking.

I agree with Seproth, its time that Luigi shows what he can do with his brother Mario.

Also Jaw Knee, reminber Super Mario Bros. 2? It was a succesful game and you can play as Mario, Peach, Toad and Luigi.

Its nice to know, that they are making the levels difficult this time. Mario Sunshine was very easy.

Now reflexes is a nice addition. Since it gives you a new way to control Mario and its gameplay touch.

Did anyone see Mario in his Bee suit for this game? I don't like that suit...go back to the SMW Cape and FireFlower suits =D

Super Mario Bros. 2 wasn't a 3D platformer that revolved around collecting stars, though, was it?

The only way I'd want a second character to play as would be in the multiplayer mode the game is supposed to have.
