Developers/Publishers Koei have released 4 new Screenshots of the up and coming title Dynasty Warriors 6 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 that should be arriving in November for the Japanese market, though speculation shows that it may be coming to North America in January 2008 and some stretching till December 2008.

The sixth installment in the highly popular Dynasty Warriors franchise is the latest entry in the massive battlefield simulator/action game from Koei. On top of the usual updates, including all new weapons, the gameplay formula has been changed significantly. Players will be able to make their character swim, climb, and destroy walls, including the ability to pull off “unlimited combos” with the use of the new “renbu” system. All 48 playable characters from Dynasty Warriors 5 are expected to return. At present, 17 characters have been announced with new character and weapon designs. Although new playable characters have yet to be announced, there is always some sort surprise up Koei and Omega Force’s sleeves when it comes to Dynasty Warriors.

Dynasty Warriors 6 is slated for a November release in Japan, with North American dates yet to be announced. Rumors are circulating that it will be in January 2008, with some sources reporting December 2008. I seriously doubt fans of the franchise will have to wait until December of ‘08, but check back with us often for an official release announcement.
