Gothic 4 Gets Some New Screenies

There have been some new screenshots released for Gothic 4, the next in the series of popular RPGs from JoWood Software. This edition of the series will be developed by a new developer, Spellbound Entertainment. The original Gothic received both praise for its open questing and character development, while also receiving criticism for the use of its healing 'herbs'. The Gothic series is a fantasy RPG with traditional sword & shield combat and magick.

"Ever since JoWood announced Gothic 4 last year, we have been anxiously awaiting more information on the title. We loved Gothic 1 and 2, but found 3 to be the series' low-point. Today we received some new screenshots from Gothic 4, mostly of the environment. This time around, JoWood has chosen Spellbound Entertainment to develop the game. Could these fresh eyes be just what the franchise needs? We shall see..."

    Looks interesting, but I've never played it (the series), or even heard about it, I think >_>

    Is it just me, or are the graphics a bit distorted? Kind of like you're looking at it through a slightly concave bit of glass(like glasses curved a bit too much)? Look at the barrel in one of the images, it doesn't look quite right...

    Still, if I hear enough interesting things about this, I might look into getting it...

    I think they have gone a bit wider angle with them in an attempt to show more. The games have been really fun. The last one (part 3) was not as good as the first two, however.
