1. Resident Evil 3
First horrifying encounter with the insanely powerful Nemesis after he brutally kills one of Jill's comrades. We were too scared to fight after this:


3. Dino Crisis
Wandering around collecting ammo and items isn't an uncommon occurence in survival horrors. After a particularly uneventful ten minutes of picking up items, we nearly messed our pants when this happened:

    That part with Nemesis was awesome, even if he was surprisingly easy to beat.

    That part with Lisa was pretty scary during my first playthrough of Silent Hill, too.

    I freakin' loved all of those scenes. (except for the last one, I haven't played Haunting Ground).

    Lisa Garland's scene was friggin' amazing back in the day. I love the music too.

    The Dino Crisis video was great too. When I first played the game, I nearly shat myself at that moment. Certainly wasn't expecting that to happen!

    I actually still have the "Not Tomorrow" song from Lisa's death scene.

    Gotta say, the scene of James killing his wife would've been more dramatic if it had sound and all.

    Loved it! Silent is one of the most scary games out there...I know you don't have to worry about corpses..but it is as if they are going to move...you are expecting it..unlike RE it causes much more fear...Never played Dino Crisis..but it sounds like a nice game!

      The first Dino Crisis was a fantastic game. It was basically Resident Evil with dinosaurs. Great (and scary) stuff.

      It's a shame that the series went downhill after that. >_>

    Thank god, no RE4 is mentioned. But why was the scene with the Tyrant scary? The scene with Lisa in the cabin was scary.
