Stephen’s critique: When you’re the ones drooling over fictional game gals made of pixels and polygons, there’s very little room for us to judge any of you, no matter how prone to necrophilia. Lisa Garland? Have at ‘er! Fixate all you want, just know the only appropriate suitor for this freak is Bruce Willis’s character in The Sixth Sense. Oh, sorry - Spoiler: Sixth Sense is one of two tolerable M. Night Shyamalan movies.

Jeane (Suikoden)

Why so overlooked? This runemistress has a “true form” no human can see, but our sources say Sasquatch.
Stephen’s critique: If you’re going to pop up across more than five titles, just to deliver cryptic nonsense, at least have the balls to do it dressed in tissue paper and a hair tie. Like Jeane. Apparently, she also holds a “Charm Rune” which is rumored to be the force behind her attractiveness. Well that, or the I Dream of Jeanie haircut and visible nips.

Trish (Devil May Cry)

Why so overlooked? Reminds us of our mother
Stephen’s critique: Blonde. Sort of pretty. Decent rack. But check those scaffolders’ shoulders. And that face. It’s just a bit too angular. Her jaw, it’s just a little too square. She’s got great legs. And fine leather trousers. But you just know she’s got a cock in there.

Rydia (Final Fantasy IV)

Why so overlooked? Because for twenty years she was just a pile of brutish sprites.
Stephen’s critique: Retro Rydia is a green-haired infant who should sleep in a cot, suck lollipops and excrete unpredictably. Grown-up Rydia is a hotty. She’s certainly worth taking for a turn round the park, followed by a mid-price Italian. She’d have to watch those sleeves in her ravioli mind.

Jill Valentine (Resident Evil)

Why so overlooked? Her affinity for adolescent head gear gives her a Blossom vibe that the world has long since rejected for its lack of sex appeal.
Stephen’s critique: Jill has been described as “like a big dirty solider but with slightly longer hair, no dick and a set of tits.” And from a physiological perspective this is reasonably accurate. There is, of course, so much more to Jill than just this. I just have no idea what.
