It's no secret that the gaming world is full of scantily-clad, big breasted women with perfect figures. These are often the women who make it to the the top of "Top 10 Hottest Game Babes" lists. But what about the average game girls? The ones who wear just a bit too much clothing, or the ones who don't stand out in the personality stakes, or the ones who aren't quite as "well endowed" as their best friend.

GamesRadar takes a look at the Top Ten "Average" Babes of Gaming.

Compiling a list of the greatest mediocre game gals is most certainly NOT an excuse to point and laugh at these pixilated plain Janes. Instead, we should be applauded for finally paying them their dues.

Whether through their critical overdressage, boring personalities, chestacular overkill or ‘80s mall hair, these are the in-game dames that made us all say “Maybe. But we’ll pass for now.”

It's funny how opinions change over time. Back when MGS1 was new, Meryl was considered one of the hottest women in gaming. (especially since you could oggle her in the bathroom. XD)
In MGS4 ... she 's not considered so hot.

I'd fire the guy who made MGS4's character models if I were Kojima.

(Meryl, Naomi, Mei Ling ... I don't think any of them were as pretty in MGS4 as their "codec faces" were in MGS1).

  While I get where you're coming from, I think it's mainly from the fact that the characters have aged quite a bit since MGS1.

  Carmen Sandiego isn't so bad, nor is that Mercinaries one. Aerith's 2D design looks good enough, but like most of the characters in the game, she looks like a glorified Lego character in the cutscenes >_>

      I have it, but haven't played far enough to have her on the Codec (I have met her though).
      
      And I figured as much. I dunno, but can you manually select frequencies in this game? If so, what would happen if you contacted her before you met her?

I think GamesRadar goes out of their way to find reasons to rate video game females. The fact that they're running out of ideas is of no consequence to them.

"Average looking" apparently means "doesn't show a lot of skin"?
