Everyone (Sony fans, and Final Fantasy fans) seem to be clamoring about FFXIII not being PS3 exclusive. This isn't the first time this has happened ladies and gentlemen. Lest you forget that VII (arguably one of the best in the series) was originally intended for the N64?

GamesRadar goes through a list of 10 more titles that brought out a similar reaction with fans.
1. Final Fantasy VII (originally for N64)

3. P.N.03, Viewtiful Joe, Killer7, Dead Phoenix, Resident Evil 4 (Originally GameCube Exclusive)
4. Contra: Hard Corps and Castlevania: Bloodlines (Originally Exclusively SNES)
5. Devil May Cry 4 (Originally PS3 Exclusive)
6. Halo (Originally Apple)
7. Dragon Quest IX (Originally for Consoles: Stolen by Handhelds)
8. Street Fighter II (Originally SNES Exclusive)

Halo was originally a PS2 game aswell, Halo when it was being published by Rockstar Games was to be released on Mac/PC and PS2, there are even pre alpha screenshots of the PS2 version floating around on IGN, it wasn't until Microsoft bought the licence and whored the series out and eventually ruined it with Halo 3.

Ruined it with Halo 3? That's a load. Halo 2 was terrible, but Halo 3 managed to somewhat redeem the series.

Hardly i mean atleast while Halo 2 was commended for its online, Halo 3 has been bashed by quite a few fans of the series for not being as good as it could have been, its single player was yet again weak and the online didn't really push the bar. Halo 1 is the only good Halo well i think so and i am sure millions agree.

4 technically if you want to count Halo Wars.

And how the hell was Rockstar ever the publisher? Rockstar is a developer that publishes its own game through TakeTwo Interactive. So how is a developer "publishing" for another developer?

Because blackLabel was wrong, thats why.

It was never in production for PS2, it was only for Mac and windows, before the MS buyout.

Too true. They lost a ton of titles that made the PS2 library as great as it is, but a lot of companies want to go multiplatform these days in order to gain more profit, so meh.

Or Microsoft could just do what they always do and just buy companies out. But hey, it works for them.

phowell23 don't be kidding yourself, Exclusives aren't going to die, and half if not the majority of the list is third party titles hence its not really exclusive to begin with, sony are far more well known with first party.

Also lets not forget DMC4 wasn't exactly touted as PS3 exclusive from what I remember reading they originally was in development with the PS3 version(but nothing official was stated) very early in late 05 to early 06 until the president said "lets make it multiplatform as well it would help bring more fans and money to us". And they all agreed. I think the DMC fanboys was wishing for it to be Exclusive.

And FF7 was supposedly going to be for N64 but then it never happened causing of memory or disc medium. Its still a PS1 exclusive due to the fact it never was release on another system. I don't see how its now it wasn't an exclusives. That would imply that it was multiplatform. It just changed systems but still exclusive.

Well, it did remind me of Dragon Quest. I used to remember playing those games. Wonder where it is now (outside of handhelds)?
