A solid countdown of the top ten games to ever be released on the classic gaming console, the Nintendo Entertainment System. This is a fun list full of nostalgia.

The NES represents retro gaming even more than the Atari, mostly because it had more quality games that would be imprinted in the gamer’s imagination for years. These retro games are some of the most enjoyable games every to be released for the platform system. The amount of great for the NES was staggering, but we wanted to make the tough choices and limit it to a top 10. These games we find undeniably great, meaning that even if you wanted to see a different entry on this list, you couldn’t disagree with the games we have on them now. With a list like this, difficult omissions will always be made. The ordering was very difficult for this list. Sit back, pour a glass of wine and enjoy the memories of 8-bit glory.

I was really expecting to see the original Star Fox game in there, I guess I was wrong.

No surprise that a Zelda game got number one though.

    That makes complete sense. No way could the NES have handled the 3D graphics in the original Starfox.

I'm glad Mario Bros 3 isn't number 1. I REALLY don't understand why it is the best Mario game. I honestly thing Super Mario World is WAAAAAY better.

I love Mario World...I think its a close second to Mario 3 as the best Mario game. One thing I don't understand is all the love for Mario 64. That will be on the upcoming "Most Overrated Games" article. Coming in two weeks.
