Can't say I disagree with this list. All spectacular levels.

I would not agree with Katina.

I've been playing Star Fox 64 every afternoon for well over a month. Aquas, Zoness, Macbeth and even Bolse Defence Satellite is better.

I'd even go as far to say Fortuna is better than Katina, at least it has Star Wolf rather than some big spaceship.

If you read the text that goes with the video he says that Katina was where Star Fox 64 became very advanced compared to the SNES one. Up till that point he stated that it felt like SNES Star Fox with better graphics.

He mentioned also that all the levels in Star Fox 64 were great. I think Katina is just like the original awe struck sort of thing.

I think Special Zone from Super Mario World didn't deserve the top spot. I would have went with 1-2 (Yoshi's Island 2 I believe) or Donut Plains

I like 1-7 better. Touch Fuzzy, get dizzy. Damn, that was a *bleep*ing fun level. Besides, the video for special zone really skipped most of them. Flying through the whole thing is not playing a level unless it's Tubular.

Where's that snow level off SM64? Or, as Deathsythe said, Donut Plains?

I loved Giant Land. It was a must go for me every time.

Didn't see most of these levels, but Hyrule....Ah, I remember (somewhat) it. I liked watching the sun come up and the music

Very nice. Probably won't look so great now that it is so aged, but still.....

Don't think I've played on any excepted for Rainbow Road. It is quite challenging. Nice find.

How was Brinstar a spectacular level? All of metroid (and even more so Super Metroid) was spectacular and linked together alot so how can you say that Norfair is better than the ruined ship? The only changes are the graphics really. (And maybe enemies and a bit of the layout) But Metroid levels don't really have that much variety as a whole, the rooms did at times but the whole game all seemed to change constantly rather than just having one level as an improvement of the other. I'm just rambling, I agree with most of this list, although Hyrule isn't being very specific, the field? Kinda boring IMO compared to Termina, the town? Once you've done all the side-quests it gets boring, Castle? Nope.

Aww, those videos brought back memories.

Especially the Super Mario 64 one... I've been replaying a bit of Mario Galaxy and it certainly doesn't have the large and expansive worlds that Mario 64 had, or the exploration value and diverse level designs. Mario 64 was amazing for it's time, and still is now.

What's the deal with the graphics in the Super Mario Brothers 3 video? I don't remember them being that detailed or colorful...

That SMB3 was a remake. Found in Super Mario All Stars.
