It is possible for Old-Wizard to dislike something that Nintendo made. There are plenty of games that were failures for the Nintendo franchise, but there were just too many good games to destabilize Nintendos power. One of the games we think that was overrated for the Nintendo franchise was Mario 64. It was made out to be huge, and it looked huge. But the storyline (that saw its height in Mario 3) was non existent, the controlling was below average, and game play was average compared to all of its memorable precursors. Its not that Mario 64 was a bad game, it was just an overrated game that won its success off its new age blocky graphics. Beyond the graphics though, this Mario would not stand the test of time compared with the Marios for the SNES and NES.

EDIT: lol, a guy from the site says in the comments that Halo isn't on the list because they, "were simply sick of lists like these with GTAIV and Halo on them".
That's not a valid reason to exclude it, IMO.
It's like going to a restaurant, asking what they recommend you eat, and they tell you to eat shit because everyone else likes hamburgers.
Sounds to me that whoever compiled the list isn't hating on the gameplay or the game itself but the graphics. This is evident within the gripe of Pokemon, simply because he/she states that in the first sentence it is the most overrated game merely because of the months and years of "poke-mania" we had to endure.
That's the same as throwing FF7 up there because of all the fanboys jacking off over Cloud's huge sword

I knew this list failed when I saw Earthworm Jim. Come on that game rocked as hell when I was a kid. Then Sonic 3, pokemon red/blue and San Andrea's just confirmed it.
I blame the fact that they released the Anime before the game overseas.

(and hating on retro/old games for their clunky controls is hardly a valid excuse to call them overrated. The gaming industry was only just getting on it's feet back then, of course old games won't have perfect controls)
