The best video game weapons of ALL TIME?

The editors of UGO.com have assembled some of the best weapons to ever appear in video games over the ages. Do you agree with the list? What is missing?

From shotguns to rockets, chainsaws to weapons that fire right through walls, weapons are what make gaming fun. You can have the greatest game out there, but if the weapons sound weak and don't pack much punch, you've lost something in the interface between the gamer and the world you're trying to immerse him into.

    WTF!? this list sucks, if your gonna make a list on the best weapon in video game history, then you MUST have Unreal Tournament's Redeemer, there should be no excuse for it, a hand held nuke is by far more interesting then a 4x1 tetris piece

      Yeah as a web developer myself, I understand WHY people do stuff like that (10 times as many hits = 10 times as much ad revenue), but I don't do it because it seems incredibly tacky. I could split up a really long article into 2 pages at most but not more than that

    If the gravity gun isn't in the top ten, I won't bother with the list...and it's not, go figure.

    I <3 Tetris, but that is nowhere near a weapon. -_-

    No gravity gun or Cerebral bore? What a crock of shit.

    EDIT: Nvm about the cerebral bore (though it should be higher)...at leas t they got the cerebral in there. Must have skipped that.

    Ah *bleep* I'm tripping, I thought it was a top 10 list, I missed alot. Gravity Gun should still be 1st place.

    Who the *bleep* puts a crowbar over the gravity gun and a regular lightsaber over the double lightsaber? Shit makes NO SENSE.

    Whoever put Flash Bang for Counter Strike is the biggest noob in the world. Everyone knows they're not the best, but the most cheapest weapon ever conceived. Sure, I don't complain after killing the last of the opposition with one strategically thrown to block an entrance but they're so cheap, blinding your enemy is not clever or skilled at all.

    To be honest, the only weapons that came to my mind are the Fuel Rod from Halo, the AK and M4 from Counter Strike, Link's Sword and the wind blades that Talim from Soul Calibur uses.

    I wanted to see the massive Rocket Launcher from Red Faction on the list.Also, even though the game is new, I would have liked to see the nuclear bunker buster from Mercs 2.Would have also liked to see the Nikita from MGS.What about the Colt SA from MGS3?

    That list is someones opinion granted. But it is still the most stupid positioning of weapons I've ever seen. Tetris as #1?? Sure, I guess with a little debate it could be considered a weapon. Fine. But dont make it number 1. Add to the fact we had to scroll through a poorly designed link setup just to see a cop out like that? Pathetic.

    And Gears of Wars's Lancer should be the best video game weapon

      Just because you don't like the game, doesn't make the game gay. I thoroughly love the pokemon games, cause it brings a certain nostalgia to me from my youth. And I still enjoy a great RPG like that one. And I also watch the shows. If its your opinion fine, but don't make sidesweeping generalization about pokemon cause its definitely not gay.

    The list is really screwie, most defiantly the gravity gun should be higher up there... and the crowbar shouldn't be as high as it should.
