5.) Donkey Kong Country
Release Date: November 25, 1994
Console: SNES

The year was 1994, and the Super Nintendo was in trouble. With most of the gaming world focused on Sony’s upcoming PlayStation, and others preoccupied with Sega’s Genesis … Nintendo needed a blockbuster hit to grab the attention of gamers once again. Enter Donkey Kong Country.

No Battletoads or Killer Instinct? I call shenanigans on this list.

The list is the top five best, neither of the two are better than the games listed.

If there were honorary mentions, I would have included those two, along with Star Fox Adventures, Blast Corps, and DK64.

Battletoads is a great game, but I have to agree with the list. Although I've only played Perfect Dark twice...

I find it funny how all of these are from Nintendo consoles, and 4 of them are on the Nintendo 64.

Maybe because everything Rare made for Nintendo was gold, while anything Rare made on Xbox was crap.

I mean seriously, Grabbed by the Ghoulies? Was Rare drunk while making this game? And Viva Pinata?

Viva Pinata was good, but Ghoulies was just to prove they weren't part of Nintendo anymore and didn't go by their style (which was gameplay first, then storyline), did you know the first part of the game that was made was the name? They came up with the name and then tried to create an entire concept to develop on!

Also DK64 deserved to be within the top 2 on that list, it was better than both Banjos, although it was a very similar concept, and it was better than the Country originals, for some reason the game and the game's opening theme were very hit-and-miss, for me they were both very close to a bulls-eye and the remix of DK rap was murder in my ears!

DK64 better than DKC? I'm glad you think that. The moment they added weapons to DK was the moment I was not interested in the game..

As long as Banjoe Kazooie is on there it doesn't matter what the rest of the list is like. xD

    Oh... and GoldenEye. <3

I have a confession... I couldn't beat Gruntilda. I tried dozens of times but eventually just gave up. Then I lost my save data. So I did everything in that game but beat her.

First death sequence in Conker was glorious. Great freaking game.

And of course nothing needs to be mentioned about goldeneye or perfect dark.

I have never played Conker, so I can't really comment on that. I did the other 3, DKC, Perfect Dark, and Goldeneye and they were the best games I played. I seriously think DK should be higher up then Banjo but thats just me, I just had a bigger admiration for DK then Banjo.

Konkers Bad Fur day? Glad they thought that game was awesome.I remember how I really wanted to play it, then I saw a friend play and I wanted to play it no more.

I would say KI.Never before have I done so much in a fighting game than I did in KI.I found out nearly every danger move and Ultra there was.Not to mention almost, if not all the Ultimate's.

People may think I'm stupid for saying this, but probably the only way I would ever buy a 360 would be if a KI game came out for it.Yes I love KI THAT much.
