There are many ways to know that you’ve played too many video games in your day. Some reasons are more obvious than others. Ever get that pain in your hands from holding a controller too long? Ever need to get up and go to the bathroom to see if your eyes still work? Ever refer to yourself in public as the “blue bomber”? The signs are numerous for this phenomena, and in this list we will go through the top ten ways to know that you’ve played too many video games. This was a difficult list to make as there were numerous ways of knowing that you were knee deep in the video game world…and never coming back. Are you, like us, one of these people who are never coming back to “reality”? Here’s how you can tell.

Meh, alright list. Isn't doing anything new, really.

Dying however, is the main sign. To bad that it is generally not reversible >_>

Same, although I've been taken breaks more often now. Also, I disagree with number 2.

I love Van Damme, one of my favorite actors, but clearly, there hasn't been nearly anyone who fit the role for those characters then what was chosen.

I loved the movie for what it was. But the new one being made will be even more full of shit.

The list obviously wasnt meant to be taken seriously, it was just trying to be funny, although some of them weren too far from the truth.

You didn’t have time to eat, drink water, go to the bathroom; basically, everything you need to do to survive was forgotten for the video game you were playing. After a couple days of malnourishment, you simply collapse and fall into eternal rest. You are the ultimate video gamer.
I don't think my mum would allow that.

But wait . . . I have to admit that I might play video games once or twice a week, but . . . but that list describes me to a T!

Nah, just kidding. But truthfully I don't think the list describes those who play too many video games, but those who are downright addicted to the video games! The overweight thing though could go the opposite. "You're underweight because you are so immersed in the game that you forget to eat, or you just plain don't care because you just HAVE to get past this part!"
I don't like to eat and play the games. I like to play and focus on that instead of stopping, taking a bite, making sure my hand is clean enough for the controller, and getting back into the game!

As satirical as this article is, I have to just shake my head. It's ignorant to solely associate obesity, visual impairment or carpel tunnel to playing games. This is why video games get bad press, because "journalists" that make articles and statements such as this are what give society the mentality "video games are bad!".

*anything* in excess will cause harmful symptoms over time.

I think humor was the main point of the article -- the guy wasn't trying to make a realistic list.

I understand that, but, humor or not it doesn't help with the negative mentality that a lot of people already have in mind when they think video games and kids. The majority of people read something and take it for face value without understanding the topic and issues that revolve around it.
