Halloween is coming up, as are a bunch of new survival-horror titles, so it seems appropriate that an abundance of horror game articles would start appearing around this time. Here are Forbes' top 10 favorite scary games.

"Fatal Frame"
Dropped into the midst of a haunted village, players must exorcise blood-thirsty ghosts with nothing more than a special, soul-capturing camera. The idea is similar to Ghostbusters, only "Fatal Frame" is actually scary. A fourth installment is currently being developed for the Wii and is expected to arrive in the U.S. later this year.

"Silent Hill"
Like most survival horror titles, the characters in "Silent Hill" are usually ill-equipped and out numbered. What makes this series so special is that it is one of the most disturbing. The series' protagonists are often drawn to the town of Silent Hill in search of missing family members. However, the town offers more than they bargain for. Existing in multiple dimensions, you'll be transported between realms--often forced to face all sorts of hellish designs.

Silent Hill 2 again makes the list! It seems Horror lists don't hold any credability until Silent Hill 2 shows up. And so be it too, since it is a fantastic horror title.
