Destructoid give us a list of 10 reasons to why SR2 (Saints Row 2) is more superior to Grand Theft Auto IV (GTAIV).
With GTAIV being so over hyped and pretty much every review out there giving it a high score, some people became scared to say it just wasn't really 'that' good. Although that doesn't mean it wasn't a good game and people didn't enjoy it since some people where happy with GTAIV's new turn.
Many people say when Rockstar made this title far more realistic than it's predecessors it subtracted vastly from it's fun factor. GTAIII wasn't that realistic but didn't it still succeed?
Destructoid have compiled a list to inform everyone of the 10 main reasons to why SR2 is superior to GTAIV.
Saints Row 2 is basically GTA San Andreas on Roids.
1. In-Mission Checkpoints
2. Cars are actually fun to drive
3. Weapons are far more varied and awesome
4. You can be a cockney bastard
5. Real customization
6. Lots more to do
7. Superior multiplayer
8. It looks better
9. It's much funnier
10. It's not ashamed of its own stupidity
- Grand Theft Auto IV [PC, XBOX360, PS3]
- Saints Row 2 [PC, XBOX360, PS3]

I find cars in both games fun to drive.
8. It looks better
No way in HELL does SR2 look better than GTAIV.
I usually hate realistic driving but in GTAIV I love it.
Anyway, if it's undoubtedly that good it will sell better than GTA IV. Yeah, not gonna happen.
I'll definitely gonna check this bad boy out. So many games to play this season. GAH!
Otherwise they're right.
The driving in Saints Row 2 is laughably bad. I mean, the old GTAs had arcadey driving, but it was semi-plausible arcade driving. Saints Row 2 just feels entirely ridiculous in this aspect.
In regards to multiplayer, GTA IV has more game modes, less lag and is easier to actually access. Saints Row 2 multiplayer has been very slow and buggy for me.
And in terms of graphics, GTA IV wipes the floor with Saints Row 2. God Of War II on the PLAYSTATION 2 looks better than SR2.
