Final Fantasy XIII-2 Brain Blast quiz walkthrough

Oh my dear lord. MSNBC has managed to make the ultimate laughable list by the games they have picked as having the most cinematic video games. Actually, most of the list isn't too bad, but when you get to number one, prepare to have milk spill out of your nose (and I hope you were drinking milk, otherwise see a doctor immediately!) I don't want to ruin the surprise, so just look at the list.
Unplayable cut scenes, cinemas, or in-game movies have been a part of video games for more than 20 years. They help advance the plot, serve as a rest area for players and produce shock and awe like any good movie.
While the technique is evolving (some developers like Valve shun them altogether in favor of total interaction), cut scenes often make games feel bigger than they really are. And nobody does it better than the following games when it comes to memorable cinematics.

But oh well - what can you do.
Halo 3, I agree with somewhat.
Final Fantasy VIII DOES deserve a spot on this list! I felt it was the most cinematic of all Final Fantasy games!
Agreed. Dunno how Heavenly Sword made it on the list when Mass Effect was a lot more cinematic..
God of War is unquestionably highly cinematic
MGS had to be there
...and obviously you dudes didn't play Double Dribble when it released, it was pretty impressive. When you go for a dunk and it switches to that crazy dunk animation thing.
Ok...so it wasn't good, but it was pretty much unheard of. Good list imo, especially after Old Wizards best of Zelda with no mention of Majoras Mask, Wind Waker, or Ocarina ffs.
Also you have to remember this is their opinion and while we don't have to like it, we can respect their reasons. Heavenly Sword I'll have to agree that it deserves a spot. I played that game over 10 times and im still awed and amazed at it cinematic scenes. The reasons they gave was good enough. If this was a top 10 im sure Mass Effect and FF8/10 would be on there.
Fo' sho'.
