Trading Pokémon
I don't care what you say. If you never traded Pok émon with another dork, your life is incomplete, and actually means nothing to me. Whenever there's like a big earthquake in Indonesia or whatever, I don't care because I know that all those mushed Indonesians probably never experienced the joy of trading Pokémon. Their lives were worthless. I remember the excitement in the air as me and my friends would hook up that crappy link cable and then go through to way-overcomplicated process of trading the little buggers. Every time some loser got a Machoke he'd call your house wanting to trade, since that was the only way to evolve it into... uh... Machamp? It's been forever. I name Red, Blue, and Yellow specifically since those games represented the golden years of Pokémon. Sure, sure, it's still popular or whatever, but not like before. Back in the good ol' days, if you didn't have a Charizard card, you might as well not have a crotch.
That's what was magical about Pokémon. Enemies and friends were made entirely because of it. No other game has ever had that kind of impact. That's why I'm putting the original Pokémon games at number one. If you question my logic I'll kill your dog and burn my name into your lawn.

This list has merit for putting Halo so low though. Brilliant.
JUST A THOUGHT! Not getting up you..
Using the first 3 pokemon games on this was brilliant. Hell I sometimes loved Yellow over red and blue. Only cause I liked Pikachu following me.
Pokemon on the other hand . . . I guess I was too old to get into that craze when it hit.
online connectivity, much deeper stat system (makes for much more strategic, interesting battles), and an enormous variety of pokemon trade other than the base 150 with only 3 or 4 version-exclusive pokemon which needed to be traded to be obtained in the orginal.
