Old Wizard's new list makes you think twice about whether you want to call your self a hardcore gamer. Please don't cry this time, they're not serious.

We here at OW get a lot of flack from a group of people who refer to themselves as “hardcore gamers.” Despite the fact that we have never claimed to cater to anyone, other than ourselves, these people feel they are owed something. They are an interesting lot. They have a lot to say when they are anonymous, and find fault in everything. No game or system is perfect, and what little time they don’t spend playing games is spent complaining about them. Their most hated enemy is the “casual gamer” often blamed for the fall of gaming, who’s peak was in the ’90s (around the time of SNES). In an interesting twist of fate, in the gaming world these people are gods but in real life they are nothing. If ever confronted by a hardcore gamer fear not, their only strength is in their wrists and fingers (from gaming and juggling their naughty bits); the rest of their bodies are doughy and atrophied from poor diets and lack of exercise. But if you’re worried you may have found one, or wondering if you might be one, here is a list that helps.

I hate that casual gamer content. I was around that time when the video game was picking up more and more games. I never had SNES, but I did have a NES and it did me pretty well. I am pretty much in shape, but I am not one of those people who are going to be like an egomaniac about it.

Meh. Would have been funny if the whole "gamers are fat, ugly, smelly virgins" jokes weren't overdone years ago.

Overdone years ago, now it's not only old, but dead, buried, and trodden under the feet of all the population of the world! It no longer cracks a smile even . . . to me.

oldwizard is making self-defecating 'sarcastic' articles all of a sudden because they have realized the only reason people know what they are is because they're so terrible at blogging.

this just proclaims "lol we dont even care". yeah, well none of us do, either.
