The top ten video game baddies, marvel in their wickedness! See classics such as Dr. Eggman and Bowser, stare at Wario the overweight evil brother.

Though it's a real nice find to see Gruntilda Winkybunion from our beloved Banjo-Kazooie series get in at first! Followed by Final Fantasy VI character Kefka Palazzo and Ganondorf in third from the Legend of Zelda series.

        Not to mention Villain is open to the interpretation of the author, so they may not share the same views. If they feel it's mostly Nintendo characters then it is their view.

    Seriously though, about half of them are from old gen games, like from SNES, PSX. Not that its a bad thing, if the villians are good enough, but I haven't played a single one of them.

        Because this is his personal opinion on what the top 10 video game villains are, however if he posts all the well known ones he gets comments of "its boring" and few views, as people have seen the exact same list before. On the flip side however if he inserts different or unusual characters it generates interest and raises more controversy. Gathering more attention.

          Not to mention that the article creator isn't a mind reader, they can't fathom the attitudes, ideas and beliefs of every single member of the audience their list will receive. Hence a top list is either personal, a group effort or determined by votes.

    and uhh, Gruntilda...number 1? wtf? she was a villian in only 2 games and was a shoddy one at that. i would have rathered Liquid Snake or Count Bleck.

      You'll be hard to find anyone who agrees with that list. From what I've seen people think Kefka is more powerful then Sephiroth and Kuja similar to Kefka. But it's up for personal preference.

      I lol'd at this list, another ninty fanboy top 10 like the top 10 controllers list.

    Alright I don't know about anybody else, but it annoys me to no end when I see the name "Dr. Eggman". Please can we just call him: Robotnik?

    That's what he was back in the day. No need for this stupid "Eggman" name.

      I think he was always Dr. Eggman. Even the manual calls him Eggman. I don't remember where it came from. I remember there being a Tetris-like Sonic game that had Robotnik in the title but thats it. But yes, I too hate the name Eggman, especially since everyone calls him Robotnik.

        His full name is actually Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik according to the original cartoons, comics, and genesis game manuals. Eggman is his alias. There are actually many "egg" references in the original games such as Death Egg Zone in Sonic 2. However, in the Sonic stories (cartoons, comics etc.) the characters mostly referred to him as Robotnik.

          Yeah...I hated that game...that and Sonic 3D was when the series started to tank.

          But yeah, I never really read the comics and the cartoons were kinda queer so I never watched them. And since I haven't had my game manuals for years, I can't check...too bad. All in all, I knew his name was Dr. Eggman, but I always called him Robotnik.

    I agree with, Dr. Wily (Mega Man), Count Dracula (Castlevania), Bowser(Super Mario) and Dr. Eggman (Sonic the Hedgehog), but the rest is not good. There have ben so many bosses left out. Bosses that are much more popular. It sould have said top 10 personal list. Gruntilda Winkybunion? Give me a break. Akuma or M. Bison from Street fighter, Diablo(the game has the same name), or even Sephiroth from FF7, sould have ben in that list.

      Top 10 personal list? Just about all top lists are personal, in your opinion they are not the best characters, but he thinks so. It is all a matter of opinion, there is no one criteria which makes a good villain, no matter what someone is going to disagree.
