I'm surprised that Solitaire is that low on the list. Glad to see Tetris up there, though. Play that game quite often when travelling.

I think I agree with everyone of those games being on the list. The placement I'd question, but other than that its a pretty accurate list. Rock Band 2 though is the most addictive for me. It all depends on people's task in "fun".

Mario 3 should be higher up IMO. I couldn't stop playing that damn game (actually I still can't...on my Wii).

I'd recommend the Warriors franchise to that list (Dynasty/Samurai). They may not improve much from title to title, but when you start playing one, it's your world for a week or two.

Also Persona 3 owned my life for about a week, and still would had I not been so busy lately.

No surprise to the #1 spot but I am surprised that counter-strike is below Halo 3 and Fallout 3. Two games released in the recent years yet CS has been around for a lot longer and is still played by the thousands (well looking at Xfire records anyway)

Infact even COD is lower than CS and the BF series is nowhere on that list

To be honest even though it doesn't note the console side of things, I would rather take Xfire's word for it by hours per day than a top 25 off the top of the head - http://www.xfire.com/cms/stats/

Thank you, I was just about to touch on Battlefield. I mean Bad Company, for me, is heavily addicting. I mean I'm not much for FPS back in the day, but games like BFBC demo gave me so much fun, even though I didn't play the previous ones, that I had to buy the game for the full experience. Even MGS4 gave me some shooting options that made me happy. Resistance is a good series as well. I'm surprised that's not on the list.

@Zero - that's an awesome Idea do it!

Another list people are going to bitch and moan about because it has games there they don't like and because it doesn't have games there they do.

Lists fail, I say make un-numbered reccomendation lists instead.

I knew World of Warcraft would be #1. =)

Solitaire was addictive for me. When I finally won, it just got boring. Still satisfying to win when I DO play it, though.

Well, good to see that at least one of my favorite game series of all times is on that list(Street fighter). The list is prety good, i played most of those games, except Peggle and Rock Band 2, and i also knew that WoW would be there, but not sure on what spot

Starcraft, heh. I've been playing this game on and off for like 7 years. In fact, I just got out of an SC game hahaha.

I find it almost offensive that Final Fantasy XI isn't on that list. I've never played a game more addicting.

Probably because this list is mainly based on popularity as well. I'm sure MHF2 is a great game in its own right, but the majority if the list includes games that have become household names.

I can see why Halo 3 and Animal Crossing are addicting, but where is Guitar Hero 3 or 4?

Rock Band has taken the place of Guitar Hero in many gamers hearts (including myself), and is rightly included on the list (#19).

Finally, an article which uses the word addictive instead of addicting.

yeah, WoW is the meaning for "addictive". It's cool to see most of the games I have on there.

Well your personal basis doesn't change what's addictive to the general public, just yourself. So you can't disagree with such a list, only agree to what suits you. According to statistics and facts World of Warcraft is extremely addictive, obviously the same for the article's creator.

Yeah, some are addictive (I know Oblivion is, with personal experience)...

For me, my most addictive game was Disgaea: Hour/Afternoon of Darkness (PS2 and PSP port, respectively).

Total time spent would be in excess of 400 hours I think....

Super Mario Bros 3 was one of my all time favorites (especially because it's on handheld for GBA SP).
