It's one of the most painful things that can happen in gaming. You tirelessly play a game for house/days/weeks, only to earn a "To Be Continued" at the end .... but it never comes. No news of a sequel, not even a hint that the makers are considering it. Here are 7 games that set up for a sequel that never came ...

If there’s one thing worse than someone ruining the end of a game for you, it's a game that doesn't even have a proper, satisfactory ending. Whether we’re dealing with seemingly doomed heroes who look set to meet their maker, magic swords or cryptic one-liners, the following games all ended on notes that teased sequels which have, so far, failed to appear. Will we ever get closure over these unresolved endings?

I would love to see a "true" Dino Crisis 2 sequel. Imagine seeing those dinosaurs chasing you in full HD glory!

Funny? I forgot what the previous Duke Nukem game was (Zero Hour, maybe?), but did that game set up for another Duke Nukem game at all?

Ooooh, heard of the title, but Psi-Ops sounds like a fun game. I'd like to see a modern version of it.

You mean a second sequel for Drakengard? There is a second game (Drakengard 2), which I've never played (never quite finished the first one -_-).
