Blend Games: The Top Ten Best Video Game Villains Ever

A top ten list of villains by Blend Games' writer, Rich Knight. He lists why some of the villains deserve to be on the list. Some of the villains are classic while others are from recent games, such as GLaDOS from Portal.

You know, the problem with top ten lists is that you only have a selection of ten to choose from. Sure, I could make my lists into top 20 lists, but it's just not as cool as ten. It’s either go top ten, or go top 100, and I just don’t think I can name that many games on my own to make a list of that stature. So here are my top ten favorite video game villains of all time. Some of them may seem like cheeky afterthoughts to you, but hear them out. I think you’ll agree that I have a valid point with most of them. Or not.

    Good list. The Black Marble truly was a rotten and wretched sphere of pure evil. And M. Bison was a lot harder to get through than Shang Tsung, though I always thought Tsung was a cooler villain.

    Ah, Kefka, you bastard! Not only in Final Fantasy VI, he's also damn nuts in Final Fantasy Dissidia. His annoying laugh, clown like walk and ice beam brave attack are some shit to hate about him.

    Yeah, not that bad of list. M.Bison is truly hard to defeat, once took me about 50 or 60 battles to defeat him. Glad Kefka made the list to.

    Kefka wasn't tough to battle at all...but the guy was villainous with a pinch of sugar and a cherry on top.

    @Rocker, M. Bison was hard to beat in most Street Fighter games (I think Alpha 3 had one of the hardest, even with two players) but I don't know if he derserved top spot.

      That's very true, his difficulty never seemed to go down. Him getting the top spot is questionable as well. Aside from his difficulty, all the other reasons they gave weren't quite convincing.

    don't really agree with most of them but its down to choice i guess.

    1.landi, shenmue
    2.sovereign , mass effect
    3.pyramid head, silent hill
    4.Nemesis , resident evil
    5.wesker/ umbrella , resident evil series
