Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time
16 hours 43 mins ago
Blend Games list the top 5 games for all of 2008. Each game receives a description for why it was the best for this year. Some of the games include Fallout 3 and the independent Xbox Live title, Braid.
Well, the year 2008 is finally at an end and though there were disappointments, many games lived up to the hype. The decision to make a Top 5 Games list instead of a Top 10 list was rooted in the fact that there were so many great games that it was tough for the staff to develop a consensus past the first five. Plus, the longer the list, the more you start to get all political with it and say crap like, "Boy, we need another game from x console in there." So here they are, our top five games of the year. Read 'em and bitch.
Oh, one note: The honorable mentions for the year could've been a few pages long too, but it's been restricted to the games that actually received votes from staff.

Edit: from the way you described it, it sounded like it would be alot better then some of the gameplay I just looked up.
A random arcade title? It's a brilliant one!
And Braid is brilliant. Much more so than most of the full release bloatware.
Replace GTA IV with MGS4 and you have yourself an awesome list of awesomeness.
and WHAT THE HELL is it with 90% of reviewers licking GTA4's balls like its the game to end all games or something?!?! it feels like a popularity contest, they have to call it the best game because if they dont, they will get made fun of or something. dont they realize it was only decent??? did they even play the same GTA4 that i did?
screw Blend, they can suck my left jingle bell.
The internet being as full of douche bags as it is, a website's going to be crapped on no matter what their list is. It's possible they actually enjoyed the game, you know.
I don't know about anyone else, but the multiplayer was pretty fun alongside an already jam-packed game.
If you weren't an MGS fan I really don't see how it could be GOTY. A lot of the stuff would leave you scratching your head unless you played previous games.
It was fun for what it was, but like you said it was more like an arcade title. I think GTA IV felt like a mix of RE4, Rainbow Six and the original GTA (which was overhead) and far more realistic than anything after GTA 2.
