As 2008 comes to a close, we at Virtual Console Reviews thought it might be time to take a look back at a handful of the best Virtual Console titles released in 2008. Below you'll find five 2008 releases that we consider to be the best the service has to offer and games that are worth every single Wii Point they cost.

    SMRPG definitely deserved the top spot. Definitely the best VC game released this year, and ever.

      I think I might be the first person ever to say that it's wasn't that great. It was knda short compared to other SNES RPGs and I found to be pretty overated.

      Despite that, it's still a great game, but why the hell isn't Mega Man 3 on that list?

        I'm guessing playing SMRPG on the VC was your first time playing the game? Thought so.

          I'm a PAL gamer. It was my first legal opportunity to play the game.

          But yeah, it does feel a little aged.
