Rich Knight from Blend Games writes out a top ten list about the best video game companies in the industry. The list contains some of the biggest publishers over the past two decades, including Konami, Square-Enix and Namco.

I must warn you in advance that some of your favorite game companies WILL NOT BE ON THIS LIST, and for the companies that ARE on this list, you’ll probably be upset with how low (But really, with a top ten list, is any number really low?) they are on this chart. One thing is certain, though: Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony fanboys, be prepared to be greatly upset.

Rather disappointed Insomniac aren't on there. They were voted one of the best companies to work for in Europe a few years back, and put out an awesome title each year.

Really good list except for the inclusion of Scamco, who I consider thieves more so than a development company... still, I understand their history rather than their current dlc-on-disc current games.

Good list. I can agree with a lot of the companies made there. Though I do agree above with Silver Mirror about Insomniac should be up there.

Where is Bioware? Get this horrible list out of here. "Notable Mention" my ass. They trounce most of the companies on there.

I'm glad valve got on there(but only 10?) Like DMD I would have Bioware, bungie and Blizzard up.

Can the Japanese companies gtfo for a minute?

I'm really surprised Valve is 10th place and not in the top 3 and as Slumpy said, I would have put Blizzard in there at like the 5-7 range. They haven't made a shit game yet.

If memory serves, Valve have never released a bad game. You can't say that for almost the rest of the list.

sega should have been number one . making classics like sonic all the way to shenmue . i agree with konami being at three and capcom number two but not number one.

bioware was right for a notable mention only liked mass effect out of all there games.
