SlapStic.com gives their top 5 games of 2008, along with a request to know from the users what their top 5 games are. Can you narrow down your favorite games to only 5?

There are a couple hundred registered users here, so I figured that I'd give you guys a chance to respond via the comments section and name your top 5 games from last year. Sure, I'm a little late to that party, but by now you've all had time to sit back and contemplate your picks. You don't have to give reasons behind your top 5 (although you can), just list them like this!

      GTA IV? No, that game should be in the worst game of 2008.

      Oh and as for the article, Smash Bros Brawl? Biggest Disappointment of 2008 (Along with GTA IV that is)

    Why is Left 4 Dead linked here, yet not mentioned?

    I understand some of the games on there, actually. Though not "mainstream" as people would like, games like World of Goo and Castle Crashers are damn fun.

        It better well be. What a great choice: VALVE, zombies, NO plot to screw it up, and shooting. Honestly, you can not get much better than that.

        Don't get me wrong, Gears, Megaman and L4D are great. But putting the five in the article as the top 5 out of every game in '08 is just silly... well, until I saw the site-source anyway.

    What a stupid list this was. All the games suck. But I suppose it goes against the grain in that GTA4 and LBP etc always make it into the top 5 of ANYTHING these days.

    Here's my list for 2008. I haven't gotten the chance to play Fallout 3, Fable 2 or GTAIV yet. I also think Persona 4 would make it pretty high on my list.

    No order, but Fallout 3, BioShock, Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet and of course, GTA IV. Brawl was great, just missing out I guess.

    Well, of them games Left 4 Dead looks ok but a bit repetitive, and World Tour gets a bit dull after you attempt to play the songs over and over. It's still a good game, though.

    1 thing. I don't own a PS3 and I don't own Rock Band

    I put them in terms of how I've seen popularity. GTA 4 for online/single player, RB2 for the large amount of DLC it supports. MGS has a great story-line. Left 4 Dead for a great shooter that had to be needed for basic jump-in online play. Fallout 3 was a great game for being a great open 1-p game better than GTA 4.
